Torrey Pines Beach in San Diego California. We arrived Friday afternoon, had some dinner made by my sweet Sister In Law Lea Ann Sharp (whom we stayed with) and then visited and went to bed. Saturday morning our nephew Ian Sharp was baptized which for some reason I didn't take any pictures. It was a good baptism and we are so happy for him. Then after that we came back to her house for a little luncheon and then headed to the beach.

Jane and Van Sharp.

Our site. It was actually really beautiful. The kids got a little cold, but the breeze wasn't too bad.

This is as far as Jane would go.

Bo and Bree watched as someone we didn't know catch tiny crabs. They loved watching them.

We came back to our LeaAnn's house and had dinner. The kids eating all together. They had tons of fun.

Ian Sharp getting buried in the sand. He was a good sport, even when Max his brother put sand all over his face.

Sunday we went to church and just relaxed and had fun visiting. We had the best corn on the cob, actually brought over from Arizona. It was yummy!!
Monday July 4, 2011

We went over to Nathans brothers house, Adam Perrins for a luncheon and then in the afternoon we headed to beach on the base. His brother Adam is in the Navy. We stayed their all afternoon.

Jane and Lily Perrins, and Van Sharp just played with the sand toys and each other for hours.

Adam and Susanne Perrins.

We got to watch the sun set and I wanted to show that there were still a lot of people still on the beach waiting for the fireworks.

The girls and their cousins loved to play in this big hole dug by their uncle and cousins.

After the sun set the girls were hungry and tired. We didn't do a very good job at packing snacks and we thought dinner would be brought back but wasn't. The girls were cold, but soon enough the fireworks made them happy.

Walter and Max Sharp

We weren't really sure if would would be able to see them but it ended up being really nice. We got to see several different areas with fireworks.

The kids all ended up on the lifeguard tower watching the fireworks.

After the fireworks were over we ended up in traffic for about an hour trying to get off base, which we flipped around and went to McDonald's. We finally got to eat!!! So then after the hour eating we finally were able to drive off the island, which took us about 2 hours to get home, around midnight. But it was fun being with cousins and hanging out at the beach.
