We blessed Jayd today and it was wonderful. The Perrins have this tradition with this baby blessing blanket and Nathan was blessed in it, as were all of his siblings and then their children. All of our children were blessed in it. It was crocheted by his great great grandmother. It is such a neat tradition. It just reminds me of the priesthood that is used to bless children. I know that the priesthood is the power of God and this blessing with help Jayd in her life. I am thankful for my husband who is worthy to hold the priesthood and use it.
My parents were in town and that is why we chose to do it so soon.
Family that came were: Casey and Jamie Ashdown, Chad and Sarah Rowley.
Friends that were invited: Jared and Kiki Weichers, Nick and Amanda Kriese, Jeremy and Cat Tolman.
It was beautiful. We stayed for the rest of church and then came home and took a nap. Then we watched the Superbowl. Jared and Kiki came over for dinner, but the rest of family and friends had plans.
We had great food. Nate did his ribs and wings. We made other small appetizers. Thanks to my mom and Nathan for all the great food.

what a wonderful, memorable day! If you need any help, please let me know. Even if I can just hold the baby so you can get some rest. Or if you want Jane to come and play with Will. Seriously, anything!
